Improved farm audit times by over 30%.
CropSights gave farm managers a single source of truth for business data that had previously lived scattered across digital and physical sources. It also turned time-consuming, mandatory compliance audits into something fast and manageable.
The Problem
Farm managers were running their operations with data scattered across multiple digital tools and paper records, with no single system tying it together.
Two consequences stood out:
Workflows and mandatory audits consumed a disproportionate amount of managers' time.
Decisions that should have been made in the field required a trip back to the office to access the right data, slowing down time-sensitive farm operations.
The challenge was designing a system flexible enough to unify genuinely different data types and workflows (compliance, health monitoring, day-to-day operations) into one coherent, fast experience usable directly in the field.

My Role & Approach
Designed and iterated on the product across multiple phases and feature areas over a 3-year engagement.
Design research included interviewing farm owners and a variety of specialized agriculture consultants including pest control specialists, regulatory compliance experts, product sales specialists, and more.
Synthesized research findings into documentation that influenced product strategy decisions at an executive level and affected design priorities.
Collaborated directly with business, marketing, product, and engineering teams as the single consistent design expert across multiple concurrent project phases, keeping design decisions coherent as scope expanded.
Design Decisions & Outcomes
Complex audit processes turned into a simple experience that improved audit times by over 30%.
Built a Design System with tokens and design guidelines, component library, pattern guides, usage rules, code snippets, and more.
Design strategy collaborated across business, marketing, product, and engineering teams.
Sustained a nearly 3-year continuous engagement, extended well beyond the original 6-month MVP scope, as a single design expert reliably meeting deadlines across multiple teams and project phases.
