When can we start?
Currently Ursa Design has part-time availability beginning August 3rd and full-time availability beginning September 17th.
What time zone do you work in?
Ursa Design is located in Detroit, MI and works in the US Eastern Time Zone. Ursa Design has worked with clients globally from the American Pacific coast to Southeast Asia. This is sometimes achieved by working asynchronously through task tracking and daily video updates.
Do I need to have a design team?
Not at all. Ursa Design can add a solo UX design expert to lead all of your design needs regardless of your team size and expertise. If you do have a design team, we can augment your team with additional expertise.
Do you offer support after launch?
Yes. Design doesn't end at launch. We offer user testing of live environments, feedback gathering via surveys or similar methods, iterative design improvements, and development support.
What’s your typical process?
The ideal design process begins with meeting with business stakeholders and product owners to align on goals and expectations. After this, we move to research and discovery by interviewing SMEs and users about problems and needs. If there is an existing product we will do a heuristic evalution including running preliminary usability testing. From these we create task flows, information architecture, and wireframes. After SME and stakeholder approval, prototypes are built for usability testing. Once the primary UX decisions have been made, we build a design system and the finalized UI designs for developer hand-off. While this is the ideal process, it is understood that your product will likely need a customized process.
How do payments work?
Invocies are typically billed on a monthly basis. If you would like another arrangment, we can discuss this.
What if we don't use AI in our workflow?
I've been designing since well before AI tools existed. If your team's process doesn't include AI today, I will adapt my deliverables to meet your needs.
