A compliance-gated pipeline for global sponsor-to-child correspondence
Connects sponsors around the world with the children and communities they support through written correspondence. Every letter written has to be translated, screened for child safeguarding concerns, and delivered physically or digitally.
The Problem
The existing process was manual, slow, and hard to track, creating delays that undercut the emotional core of the sponsorship relationship.
Letters would sit in certain statuses for weeks.
Corrected letters had to restart the process from the beginning.
Large data importing and exporting was unreliable.
Inconsistent practices across various country offices.
My Role & Approach
Discover distinct processes for delivering letters, newsletters, and child progress reports in order to identify solutions.
Conduct research with field staff, regional managers, and international managers.
Create Stakeholder Personas, Current-State Workflows, and Future-State Requirements
Map swim-lane diagrams for multiple users and automated processes for each primary task flow.
Determine how, when, and where AI translation and safeguard checking should be used.
Design UI screens in Figma for review and approvals.
Build rapid AI prototypes for usability testing and development hand-off.
Design Decisions & Outcome
This product still needs to be tested in a real-world environment. Below are client quotes from the design process.
